Job Description: Test Engineer (English Projects)
Position Overview
We are seeking a Test Engineer for our software testing division, primarily handling projects that require English proficiency. You will be involved in a wide range of tasks including creating and designing test plans, supporting test executors, project management, and gathering technical requirements from clients.
This role offers multiple career paths: from becoming a specialized Test Engineer, to a QA Engineer providing upstream quality proposals, to managing a team of several dozen members. You will be assigned to projects where English is used daily, and there are regular opportunities for English-required projects. By improving both your technical and English skills, you can significantly enhance your value in the field.
Key Responsibilities
Test Activities:
Create, design, execute, and complete test plans; share information with stakeholders
Handle projects according to test level and type
Test Management:
Collaborate with development teams and stakeholders for test project management
Analyze and report test progress and results
Technical Development & Internal Knowledge Sharing:
Research and develop test processes and techniques
Promote the adoption of mathematical approaches and test automation
Project Management:
Schedule and progress management
Support for test executors
Sales & Proposal Support:
Technical requirement gathering
Support technical aspects of proposals
Estimate work hours for proposals
Explain proposals to clients
Note: Some client requests may require on-site work.

Requirements
At least 1 year of experience in software testing/test design or software development/operation & maintenance (Web or open systems; development phase and programming language not specified)
Comfortable reading English documentation (approx. TOEIC 600 or above)
Native-level Japanese proficiency
Working Hours & Days
10:00 – 19:00 (1-hour break)
8-hour workday, 2 days off per week (shift system)
Depending on project assignment, working hours may vary
Holidays & Leave
Two days off per week (other than weekends)

Annual holidays: 120+ days (2024: 122 days)
Flexible holidays: 2 consecutive days per year, taken at any time
Paid leave granted on first day of employment (10 days, up to 3 days during probation)

Work style: on-site at client or in-house
Salary
Annual salary: ¥3,120,000 – ¥6,000,000 (includes fixed overtime of ¥32,500–¥62,500 per month for 20 hours; overtime beyond 20 hours is paid additionally)
Annual salary system allows for high earning potential if performance is recognized

Probation period: 3 months (no salary changes)
