[Job Summary]

Work as part of a 10-person team on COBOL development focused mainly on report generation, using IBM mainframes.

Involved in the development, maintenance, and operations for a major printing company.

Development mainly involves smaller ongoing maintenance tasks.

[Future Responsibilities]

Lead project management, task distribution, interdepartmental coordination, issue resolution, and provide support to development team members.

Depending on your experience, you may be involved from the upstream phases including requirements definition and system design.

Scope of Change: You will initially work in system development. In the future, responsibilities may be extended to cover a wider range of duties within the company upon mutual discussion.

[Team Information]
Development departments are divided into four teams by business domain, with each team consisting of 20 to 50 members.
You may also be assigned to in-house product development depending on timing.

Salary

Estimated annual income: ¥5,000,000 – ¥7,000,000

Monthly salary: From ¥359,500

Includes:

Base salary from ¥291,640

Fixed overtime allowance (30 hours): from ¥67,860

Bonuses: Twice a year (equivalent to 2 months)

Salary raise: Once a year

Family allowance available

Transportation allowance: Provided in accordance with company regulations

Working Hours

9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (1-hour break)

Standard working hours: 8 hours/day

Flextime system: Not available

Overtime: Expected

30 hours fixed overtime included (additional hours paid separately)

Probation Period

3 months (no change in employment conditions during the period)

Holidays & Leave

125 days off annually

Full 5-day work week: Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays off

Paid leave: 10 days granted after 3 months of employment

Required Qualifications

Around 10 years of end-to-end development experience using COBOL in the IT industry (including design, coding, and testing)

Strong interest in becoming a project leader (PL) in the future
